Scope of Work:
This was a Design-Build contract for the construction of a 420-man workers camp, administration offices, warehouses, kitchen, canteen, and all water, electrical, sewer, fencing & security, and stormwater drainage.
Interesting or Unusual Challenges Faced:
Meeting the timeline for the agreed, staged handover of the facilities to the client, presented a formidable challenge, one that we ultimately overcame. This challenge was compounded when a tropical cyclone struck the area while earthworks were underway in late February 2023.
TOTAL Energies, Security Watchtowers

Scope of Work:
EPC contract for the engineering, procurement, construction and erection of pre-cast, modular concrete watchtowers and steel watchtowers. These towers were necessary to increase the security around the perimeter of the Afungi LNG development.
Interesting or Unusual Challenges faced:
Operating under an EPC contract, RadX assumed full responsibility for design, engineering, procurement, manufacture, and construction. The components for the towers were prefabricated off-site, which required meticulous engineering and quality control to ensure seamless assembly and installation on-site. In particular, the concrete towers posed a challenge, with each precast section weighing approximately 15 tons. They were designed to be stackable sections, one atop the other, similar to a Lego set. Any minor errors could result in significant time and cost implications. The successful completion of this project marked a significant milestone for RadX. It showcased our ability as a competent Design-Build contractor for projects of a complicated engineering nature, and proved we are able to meet the rigorous demands of the Oil and Gas industry.
